The Mill Barns has the charm and atmosphere of a barn wedding venue, but it also feels modern, airy and bright. The high vaulted ceilings for me give you space and a little nod towards a traditional church like structure which I love.
The Mill Barns was purposely designed for weddings and as such it works really well for photography because the whole venue flows so naturally. Each part of the day moves easily into the next, which helps everything feel relaxed and allows moments to happen naturally.
It also gives plenty of variety across a gallery with a setting that feels intimate while still having enough space to breathe and explore.
There are lots of lovely spots for photographs at The Mill Barns. The two tier terrace provides a wonderful unique perspective for confetti and a stroll through the gardens and surrounding greenery are perfect for softer, more relaxed portraits.
I particularly like to capture signature night time portraits after dark as the venue is lit with LED lighting and festoon bulbs after dark.
