Weston Hall is a magnificent Grade II listed country house set in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside. With its striking historic façade, original features such as oak beams, mullioned windows and stone fireplaces, and a seamless blend of traditional charm and modern elegance, it provides a beautiful and timeless backdrop for wedding photography.
This venue combines grand architecture with thoughtfully designed event spaces, making it perfect for couples who want classic country house style alongside natural, storytelling-led images.
I am a Staffordshire wedding photographer and I enjoy photographing weddings at Weston Hall because the venue flows beautifully throughout the day and offers a variety of spaces to work with.
***** As the photographer for our wedding, we truly could not have asked for anyone better than Samantha. She captured everything we asked of her and then some, but my favourite ability of hers by far was to make you feel so at ease and she blended with all of our personalities so effortlessly. The photos are absolutely stunning and she captured the magic beautifully. Thank you Sam, your work means the world to us - Dale & Jordan at Weston Hall, Staffordshire
Weston Hall is full of charm and detail. The historic interiors, including beams and stone fireplaces, give your photographs a classic, timeless feel. At the same time, the terrace and gardens provide a variety of natural backdrops for relaxed portraits and candid moments.
Some of the areas I love to work with include the Shrewsbury Suite for ceremonies, the Westminster Suite for the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations, and the terrace and gardens for drinks, confetti and couple portraits. The grounds also offer lovely outdoor ceremony options when the weather allows. There is even accommodation on site including a honeymoon suite, which makes preparations and the early part of the day feel calm and contained.
For couples who enjoy the countryside, we are so lucky in Staffordshire to have so many beautiful wedding venues and I also photograph weddings at other Staffordshire venues such as Foxtail Barns, Blithfield Lakeside Barns and The Moathouse, and I know how to capture the light and atmosphere at each one.
I aim to be unobtrusive throughout your day, capturing moments as they happen and guiding you gently when we want a few relaxed portraits. Weston Hall offers such a variety of light and spaces that there is always something to work with, from soft interior light to the open views of the gardens.
I pay particular attention to golden hour portraits in the gardens or on the terrace, candid moments during drinks and speeches, and evening photographs of the house and grounds when the lights come on. The goal is always a gallery that reflects your day authentically, without feeling staged or forced.
Weston Hall offers a variety of stunning spaces for wedding photography:
The Shrewsbury Suite: With original stone fireplaces and countryside views, this is a magical location for intimate ceremonies.
The Westminster Suite: Characterful and elegant, with oak beams and a private bar; great for wedding breakfasts, speeches, and reception moments.
The Terrace: Beautiful garden settings perfect for relaxed portraits, drinks receptions, or sunset images.
Outdoor ceremony space: A beautiful natural backdrop if you choose to say “I do” beneath the open sky.
Historic exterior & gardens: The grounds and gardens make a timeless backdrop for couple portraits and wide-angle scenic shots.
Every wedding at Weston Hall has its own rhythm. Some couples prefer mostly natural, documentary style photographs, while others enjoy a mix of relaxed portraits and classic group images. I work with you to create a timeline that feels comfortable and ensures the most important moments are captured.
A few things to consider include leaving space in your schedule for portraits, thinking about ceremony times for the best light, and making use of the terrace and gardens for drinks and candid photographs. Small adjustments like these can make a big difference to your final gallery
