Who is behind the camera?
Hello! My name is Samantha, although everyone calls me Sam. I am the person behind Samantha Lowe Photography and the one you will find behind the camera. I live with my husband and our daughter in a small village just outside Stafford, Staffordshire. I am a family orientated, country girl at heart, and when I am not behind the camera you will find me out enjoying the countryside, spending time at the stables with my horse, or walking over Cannock Chase with our huge, clumsy Labrador and our crazy Jack Russell.

How did I get into Photography?
Following the birth of our little girl, I was startled at how quickly precious moments pass in the blink of an eye. It became apparent that although the human brain is truly amazing, over time, little details, the key little moments - are simply forgotten. It was then, I truly appreciated the importance of photographs. Photographs suddenly became treasures, memory preserving treasures that bring moments, details and emotions flooding back. From what started as a determination to record snapshots of our daughter's milestones arose a passion for creating beautiful images. From capturing our daughter's first steps on a second hand, relic of a DSLR camera, my journey with photography then progressed to equestrian portraiture (my husband surprised me with a professional grade camera for Christmas - I actually cried) and equestrian event coverage and then five years down the line I took the plunge into wedding photography. It was always going to be about weddings for me. I am a true romantic, a sucker for fairytales, prince charmings and a little bit of sparkle. I love absolutely everything about weddings. From the grand to the intimate, the themed to the traditional - each wedding tells a story and I feel honoured to be able to record this story for you to cherish for the rest of your lifetime together.
What is my style?
I am a wedding photographer from Stafford, based just outside the county town and offer a Westmidlands and Staffordshire wedding photography service that covers all local towns including Stafford, Cannock, Lichfield, Stoke on Trent, Rugeley, Penkridge aswel as into the adjacent counties of Cheshire & Derbyshire.I specialise in a natural, reportage style of wedding photography, offering a creative and beautiful yet unobtrusive coverage of your special day. I love to tell the story, i love to find soft, natural light, I love big windows. But most importantly I love to capture real smiles, real laughs, real moments. A tender kiss on the head, a nervous squeeze of the hand, a deep breath or a quiet moment of reflection. The most beautiful photos are taken when people have no clue my lens is pointed at them. But there I am, quietly moving around in the background, not intruding, not continually asking for things to be posed, just there, capturing the real moments. The moments that really matter. Of course, I also cover the obligatory group and family photos, but this is done in an efficient, fuss free manor, leaving you plenty of time to mingle with your guests and enjoy your special day as it unfolds. If you think this style would suit your day, please get in touch and I look forward to getting to know you and hearing your story.
