Local Wedding Venues
Local Wedding Venues

Choosing your wedding venue is one of the biggest decisions you will make, and it can be hard to picture how a place will actually feel once it is full of people, emotion and movement. These Staffordshire wedding venue guides are designed to help you see beyond the brochure images and get a feel for how real weddings unfold in each setting.

I have photographed weddings across Staffordshire, the Midlands and beyond, from country houses and modern barns to intimate celebrations at home. Each guide shares how I approach the venue, the spaces that work beautifully for photographs, and the kind of moments I look for throughout the day.

If you are still choosing your venue, these pages may help you compare different settings. If you have already booked, they should give you confidence in how your day can be photographed naturally and thoughtfully.

My Approach Pricing Check Availability

The Moat House wedding photography
Recommended Supplier

The Moat House, Acton Trussell, Staffordshire

One of the venues I know best. The house, gardens and lakeside setting all have their own character, and there is an ease to the way the whole venue feels once the day is underway.

The Ashes Barns wedding photography in Staffordshire
Recommended Supplier

The Ashes Barns, Staffordshire

The old barns, courtyards and surrounding countryside give The Ashes a lot of character. It feels tucked away from everything, giving the whole day a real sense of having the place to yourselves.

Blithfield Lakeside Barns wedding photography
Recommended Supplier

Blithfield Lakeside Barns, Staffordshire

Blithfield's reservoir setting is the obvious draw, but it is the open countryside and huge skies that make the venue really special for me. The evening light here can be incredible.

Couple dance in the gardens at Hanbury wedding barn
Recommended Supplier

Hanbury Barns, Staffordshire

Hanbury has a warmth to it that I really like. The barns feel contemporary without losing their character, while the countryside setting gives the venue a calm, easy atmosphere.

Bride and groom leave ceremony at Foxtail Barns wedding
Recommended Supplier

Foxtail Barns, Staffordshire

Foxtail feels fresh and modern, with lots of natural light and woodland and water just outside. It is a very different interpretation of a barn venue, with clean contemporary spaces alongside the countryside setting.

Bride and groom on the bridge at The Mill Barns wedding venue
Recommended Supplier

The Mill Barns, Alveley, Shropshire

The scale of the oak-framed barns makes an impression straight away, but it is the water, gardens and bridge that give The Mill Barns its identity. It has a real sense of occasion without feeling formal.

Pendrell Hall wedding photography
Recommended Supplier

Pendrell Hall, Staffordshire

Pendrell feels like a proper country house wedding venue, with elegant rooms, established grounds and several distinct ceremony spaces. It has plenty of presence without ever feeling intimidating.

Bride and groom outside Keele Hall in Staffordshire

Keele Hall, Staffordshire

Keele Hall's impressive architecture, grand entrance and beautiful gardens create a distinctive setting, with plenty of variety for photographs both inside and across the grounds.

Weston Hall wedding photography

Weston Hall, Staffordshire

Weston is full of character, from the darker, atmospheric interiors to the gardens outside. It feels intimate but grand, with a completely different personality from the newer barn venues.

Bride and groom sit on the bonnet of a tractor at their Staffordshire farm wedding

Home, Farm & Marquee Weddings

These are often some of the most personal weddings I photograph because there is no set formula. The day is built around the couple, the people they love and a place that already means something to them.

Sandon Hall wedding photography

Sandon Hall, Staffordshire

Sandon has real presence. The staircase, conservatory, formal rooms and grounds all feel unmistakably part of the house, rather than simply spaces designed to host weddings.

Bride and groom with their dog at Moddershall Oaks

Moddershall Oaks, Staffordshire

Moddershall feels contemporary and secluded, with woodland and water surrounding the venue. Everything is in one place, while still giving the sense of being away from the outside world.

Ingestre Orangery wedding photography

Ingestre Orangery, Staffordshire

The Orangery is flooded with light, the historic church sits just next door and the surrounding estate gives the whole setting a real sense of history. It is one of Staffordshire's more distinctive places to get married.

Calderfields Golf and Country Club wedding photography
Recommended Supplier

Calderfields Golf & Country Club, Walsall

The lake and open grounds are what make Calderfields for me. There is a great sense of space around the venue, with particularly lovely light across the grounds towards the end of the day.

If you are planning your wedding and looking for photography that feels natural, elegant and true to the day, I would love to hear more about your plans.
