Hello, I’m Samantha although everyone calls me Sam.
I’m the photographer behind Samantha Lowe Photography, based in a small village just outside Stafford in Staffordshire, where I live with my husband and our daughter.
I’m the calm presence behind the scenes on a wedding day, quietly observing, anticipating moments, and documenting them as they naturally unfold.
When I’m not photographing weddings or editing galleries (usually with a cup of tea close by), you’ll most likely find me at the farm with my horse, Dori. I’m naturally introverted, which perfectly suits my relaxed, documentary and unobtrusive approach to photography. Time spent outdoors, surrounded by nature and animals, is how I recharge.
We also have a Corgi called Lady, who has very quickly become a much-loved part of our family. If your dog is joining you on your wedding day, you can safely assume I’ll be smitten.
I’m drawn to things that feel thoughtful and considered, elegant details, soft light, and a little sparkle. I love planning trips and holidays, cosy evenings, candlelight, and a good film. Sundays often involve Formula One, a tradition that thanks to my Dad has followed me from childhood into adult life.
After the birth of our daughter, I became acutely aware of just how fleeting even the most precious moments can be. Time moves quickly, details fade, and memories soften. Photography became a way of holding onto those moments, not just how they looked, but how they felt.
What began as documenting family milestones soon grew into a passion. From equestrian portraiture and event coverage, my journey naturally led me to weddings, where emotion, connection, storytelling, and beauty all meet.
I’ve always been a romantic at heart. I love love stories, meaningful details, and days filled with genuine connection. Every wedding is unique, and it’s a privilege to document each one with care, creativity, and authenticity, creating images you’ll return to for years to come.
